Since I have a comment by a reader, in a previous post, I will go ahead and point to a new article up at What Enlightenment, by a major contributor (millions of dollars) to Andrew Cohen's work.
She details out, from her perspective, the process that Cohen went through to secure a 2 million dollar donation from her.
Now, individual posts like this, you have to be cautious of - but given that, in this post, she details some of her own personal issues honestly, as well as gets some corroboration from other NAMED individuals in the comments, the post is worth paying attention to.
I'm not sure what it will take for Integral Institute and Ken Wilber, to STOP giving any oxygen to this guy, but hopefully it will happen soon. After a year of exposure, from various sources, it can't come soon enough. (I vote, with my Sponsor Plus membership in Integral Institute, to drop this guy). When will Ken wake up about this particular issue? Anyone at I-I ever do a Q&A with Ken on this particular issue?
(Note - don't do a Q&A NOW - Ken's had a marvelous and inspiring recovery, as detailed in this blogpost, but at some point maybe someone can find out Ken's stance.)

I for one won't join in the crucify-the-guru mentality of the blogophere. I do hope Cohen responds. Until then, I don't see the point in saying anything about this matter.
I will say one thing, though: there doesn't appear to be any illegal behavior on Cohen's part and the author does say, " I cannot hold Andrew responsible for this behavior." I only wish she's followed this line of self-scrutiny further, because the victimology of her post reeked to high heaven. By saying that, I'm not putting Cohen off the hook, just saying that IMO people are all too ready to believe the worst about people. I don't have enough info to go on to form judgments about Cohen, but honestly after reading this person's post it sounds to me like she's a victim of her own karma at least as much as anything else. I disagree that Wilber should have any reason to comment on this matter, at least not before Cohen does. Just because Wilber's friends with a guy, doesn't mean he approves of everything he says or does. Come on! Re: Re: Re: Fresh Cohen Fodder

What does it take , does he have to be led away in handcuffs before folks wake up, thos of us that are spiritually strong look out for the weaker ones, not trhough them to the wolves and rationalise it by accusing them of being weak lambs.
Integral is worse than the catholic church in its inabuility to question its own. Come on is this what and integral world looks like, is their kknow system or heirachy in integral that guards and protects the lower levels of development, or are all leels fair game for exploitation. Re: Fresh Cohen Fodder
I personally feel there is a weight of evidence (read Enlightenment Blues) that points to problems with Cohen's version of integral spirituality -- he leans too much towards making the "fascist" move, imo.
Personally, I have found Adyashanti's teaching and person to be much clearer. Adya is the antidote to Cohen's toxicity and a complement to Ken's teaching, because Adya's pragmatic focus provides a good counterpoint to Ken's intellectual idealism. I would love to see a series of dialogues between Ken and Adya. Trackbacks
