An amazing speech - transcript at TPMCafe - by Albert Gore, regarding the impact of television on american democracy.

This speech crystallizes some of the points I made in this post, in terms of analyzing corporate power, but brings to the analysis a much deeper historical context, as well as being very incisive.

Blogs are one of the mediums, of course, that counteract the dominance of the Corporate Media Age, and bring back a conversation.  This is the internet's promise.

Also interesting was the reference to how visual media affects the brain, as opposed to print media.

All in all, a speech well worth reading.  A pretty "integral" speech, I would say.
