An important  article by John Edwards, regarding social and political realities.

Help me out on this, but from an integral perspective, isn't this an example of a financial system obeying the directives of an "unhealthy", or corrupted, Traditional society?

Here's an old article from Catallaxis, on "authoritarian economics".  Don't think this really addresses this situation, but it is a start in integral economic analysis.
