After the I-Wet weekend, for the readers here, I thought it might be interesting to read a quick review of the weekend.  I'll start with the practices concentrated on, and then do a quick analysis of each practice as I perceived it.  NOTE:  Below is NOT the order these focuses were introduced in the weekend itself.

Spiritual - Big Mind
Physical - Integral Kata
Psycho-Dynamic - 3-2-1 Shadow
Cognitive - Framework of AQAL
Creative (and social?) - a variant on the World Cafe process

With the additional detailt, that attention paid to the ultimate awareness in each practice.

A quick review of each:

Big Mind - a very cool process, and interesting not only for the higher states touched, but also for the other voices accessed.  Also, actually doing the Big Mind practice confirmed for me the parallels with a couple of other spiritual paths.  (You can read more by looking at this post on GenSit).

Integral Kata - a decent practice, and it would have been good to see the whole practice, as it seemed shortened.  I would say though, that a mindful yoga achieves the same effect.

Psycho-Dynamic - again, a very useful process, in terms or revealing psychological material.  Seems like a very helpful process however.

Cognitive - was a good presentation on the overall framework of AQAL, in that it was well-done (and I particularly liked the x-y axis slide), however, was a bit hard to get ahold of, given the experiential quality of the weekend.  In a shortened weekend, would have been better to "Powerpoint" the main theses.

Creative - for me, wasn't handled that well - although "from chaos" emerged some order.  We certainly showed that you can create meaning as a group, out of pretty much nothing at all.  I wonder if "social confusion" was one of the objects of the exercises...

For me, the greatest value was -

a.  Voice dialogue process in general - really good way, as an individual, to have some psychological insight.
b.  Recognition of Big Mind as parallel to other non-dual traditions, both in the techniques of removing ignorance/shifting identity.
c.  3-2-1 Shadow.  Again, the "psychological insight" route is simply something I like a lot (I clearly like integral psychology!) - both insights, and even playing the "game" as it were, is simply fun AND useful.
d.  The shift and recognition I DID have in Big Mind, to whatever depth this is.
e.  Hanging out and simply PRACTICING with others, passionately interested in spirituality and wholeness in an integrated full Spectrum life.
