This should be easy, for all you integral cats out there. Here is Hope, Emo Chick - let's describe her perspective, shall we?
okay, actually, I just wanted to link to this, cause it's funny....but I think there may be a point as well. Here is a clear case of a two dimensional character - so in that sense, it should be EASY to "diagnose" the particular level of consciousness that this (fake) person is coming from. But is it? You SD people out there - in this easy two-dimensional case, what are the appropriate labels?

Rules RULE!
Re: Integral Diagnosis 101 - What Perspective Is Hope Coming From?
Dude that was funny.
The rules things was so "blue" in SDi lingo, but the rest of it was all sensitive self. But heavily narcissistic, which is common of kids that age. Still, she is mostly egocentric in her stage development, with a bit of ethnocentric awareness seeping in. Really, though, since it's parody it's impossible to say where the persona is -- it's not coherent. Peace, Bill Re: Re: Integral Diagnosis 101 - What Perspective Is Hope Coming From?

Thanks for responding - glad you thought this funny.
In terms of your analysis, sounds pretty good to me! I do think it points out the difficulty with "diagnosis'. Amateur integral diagnosis is like taking a freshmen taking a psychology course - suddenly you have a new tool with which to judge everyone else! I;ve said this before, and I'll say it again. You mention "coherence" - but I don't actually believe this exists, in people, regarding the value structures individuals come from. Not to mention the difference between STATED values, what is actually lived, and then, as you have said, sub-personalities. I'm open to being wrong about this - but the proof needs to be made, and made strongly. Although, the self-absorbed narcissism is pretty clear here - in this fake person. So there must be SOME relevant judgement that can be teased out. But when I see even Wilber beginning to translate his personal issues with people in his organization, into color-coded 1st and 2nd Tier objectifications - as what has happened with the recent issues at I-I - and the justifications that then come from that, warning bells go off for me.
