Saw this at Graham's place.
If real - and it is a question, because it is possible that his feet are being held up a rope, as the video doesn't capture that - it shows that this is where "integral fitness", can go. More into a Qigong mode of practice, engaging the energetic body, as well as the phyical body.

Monk performing cool physical feat - if real?

Re: Monk performing cool physical feat - if real?
I thought the same thing. I wish they would show his feet. They come pretty close at the end.
But I've seen stuff that I think is even more amazing than that. If you get the chance, rent this movie from Netflix: Myths and Logic of Shaolin Kung Fu. Talk about astonishing feats of body and mind! I've been studying a "hard style" of Qigong for a year now and I can vouch for an extreme level of physical prowess through training. So I find it easy to believe. But I think this is my favorite display of chi power. And while we're at it, maybe somebody can explain how David Blaine does the things he does?! Thanks for commenting - yes, I saw when you pointed to that last time - it would be great, re: your own Qi Gong training, how you experience the fitness different from other forms of physical practice. I at least, would really appreciate that.
Re: Re: Re: Monk performing cool physical feat - if real?
I've wanted to write about my Qigong experience a lot, but haven't done so for a couple of reasons:
1) Since Qigong practices teach you about your own energy, you begin to notice how your energy leaks out of you. I've noticed that the more I talk about my practice, the less I integrate. I can almost see the energy leaving my subtle body. 2) My Qigong practice, Jingui Golden Shield Qi Gong, is a rare "temple" practice, and should only be taught by an approved teacher. That has given me pause to write or speak about it too much. Once I've "sealed" at the end of the month, I'm sure I'll have things to say about my experience and that I'll be able to say them without the energy leaks. Re: Monk performing cool physical feat - if real?
. . . what a wild video . . . definitely looks real - even if his feet were being held up by ropes, he'd still be balancing on that one little finger . . . dang . . . all I use qi gong for is to help me feel less sleepy in the mornings :)
